To apply for admission to Chanel Catholic College of Secondary Teacher Education, please follow the steps below. Your application must be submitted by July 31 2025 to be considered for the upcoming academic year. Late applications may not be accepted.

We will inform you about the result of your application as soon as selection is completed. Make sure your contact details are correct and reliable.

How to Apply via DHERST (School Leavers & Non-School Leavers)

All applicants — whether you are a current Grade 12 student, a recent school leaver, or a non-school leaver/mature-age applicant — must apply through the DHERST National Online Application System (NOAS).

When completing your application, make sure to select Chanel Catholic College of Secondary Teacher Education as your first-choice institution.

School Leavers: If you are currently in Grade 12 or just completed it, your school’s Guidance Officer or Careers Counsellor can assist you with the DHERST application process.

Non-School Leavers: If you finished secondary school in earlier years or are applying as a mature-age student, you are still required to apply through the DHERST NOAS portal.

If you do not have a NOAS account or cannot remember your login details, you must return to your former school or the FODE centre where you upgraded your results to obtain your credentials before applying.

Requirements

Please note the following requirements when completing your application:

  • Applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate from a recognised secondary school with background studies in Language, Advanced Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Math, Applied English, Applied Science, and Geology, with a maximum GPA of 2.6 and upgraded results.

  • Applicants are required to deposit a non-refundable processing fee of K100 into the College account. Send the receipt with your application form to the postal or email address provided.
  • You MUST attach copies of your current academic records: Grade 10 and Grade 12 Certificates, transcripts of upgraded results.
  • You MUST provide three current reference letters including your referees full contact details.
  • All applications MUST be endorsed by a Commissioner for Oath, i.e. a priest, a pastor, a magistrate, a councillor, or a lawyer and MUST bear the persons signature and stamp.
  • Only original Application Forms will be accepted.

Application forms without a K100 processing fee and  other required documents will be rejected.
