Medical Attention and Health

Student health and well-being are important to us. The College has partnered with Vunapope Hospital to ensure that students receive professional medical care when needed. Transportation to and from the hospital is coordinated through the College, with support from our dedicated deans and drivers to ensure prompt attention.

Student medical support is managed under our Occupational Health and Safety Risk Management policy, as outlined in the Student Handbook.

We are committed to creating a safe, healthy environment that supports students both academically and personally.

Counselling Services

At Chanel College, we recognise the importance of student wellbeing in achieving academic and personal success. Our dedicated counselling services are available to all students, led by the Dean of Faculty for Religious Education, the Education Lecturer, and the College Chaplain, with additional support from Dormitory Deans.

We also have a strong Pastoral Care system in place. Every student belongs to one of four pastoral care groups, each guided by academic staff and overseen by the Deputy Principal of Administration and Welfare. These groups offer students a supportive community and opportunities for growth through activities such as sports, liturgy, teamwork projects, cultural events, and other extracurricular programs.

Our pastoral care groups bring together students from various provinces, fostering unity, understanding, and respect among different cultures. Together, our counselling and pastoral systems ensure every student feels supported—mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually—throughout their time at the College.
