Student Leadership

Make your voice heard. Through the SRC, students lead initiatives, represent peers, and shape college life from within.

We believe that leadership is not limited to a position—it is a mindset and a responsibility that all students are encouraged to develop.

As part of our graduate outcomes, students are expected to grow into professionals who are ready to lead with integrity, compassion, and confidence. Through participation in college life, pastoral care programs, and opportunities like the Student Representative Council, students are invited to practise leadership by making positive contributions to their community, standing up for what is right, and supporting their peers.

Leadership in Faith

At Chanel, leadership is nurtured through the lens of faith and service. In our Pastoral Care program, students explore Christian values such as compassion, conscience, and community, and are encouraged to lead by example in their daily lives. Skills like assertiveness, empathy, decision-making, and conflict resolution are taught not just for personal development, but to empower students to be confident, ethical leaders in both faith and life. By growing in self-awareness and responsibility, students learn to lead with purpose and heart.

Leadership in Teaching

At Chanel, we prepare our graduates not only to teach but to lead. As future educators, our students are encouraged to see themselves as role models who inspire, guide, and influence the next generation. Leadership in teaching means taking initiative in the classroom, contributing to school improvement, and upholding values that build strong, respectful learning communities. By the time they graduate, our students are equipped to lead with confidence, humility, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Student Representative Council (SRC)

Our College is proud to have a well-established Student Representative Council (SRC) that gives students a strong voice in campus life. The SRC plays a vital role in planning student-led activities and advocating for student needs.

Working closely with student services and other departments, the SRC helps enrich the social, spiritual, and academic experience of all students. Guided by the College’s policies and their own operational constitution, SRC members lead with responsibility, teamwork, and a focus on positive change within the school community.
